The LINK is a leadership agency and will partner to coordinate projects and initiatives that improve the Columbus-Lowndes County area. The LINK will take the lead on coordinating Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activities with the Columbus Air Force Base (CAFB), and address issues affecting county and city schools in Jackson, Mississippi and Washington, DC.
The Objectives are:

Develop priorities for community and government relations.

Coordinate LINK's activity with regional, state and federal partners.

Establish staff position to oversee all BRAC activities, identify additional missions for CAFB, and work with city and county officials on K-12 educational issues. |
